  • What is an essential oil?
    Essential oils are natural complex mixtures which retain the natural flavor and aroma of their botanical source, often obtained though physical processes such as distillation or mechanical pressing.
  • What is an extract?
    Extracts are similar to essential oils, except they are obtained using solvents to extract the volatile compounds contained within the botanical. Depending on the product and process, solvents that are used can be alcohol, water, or other hydrocarbon-based solvents.
  • What does WONF mean?
    WONF stands for “With other Natural Flavors” and is a term very commonly utilized with natural flavors in the USA. Essentially this means that the flavoring contains components of the named flavor, along with other flavor ingredients that are derived from other natural sources. For example our Natural Orange Flavor WONF contains flavoring derived directly from orange itself, and is further complimented with other natural flavoring ingredients to create that bright, juicy, fruity and refreshing orange profile we’ve come to love and enjoy!
  • How do I dispose of old product?
    Please reference the SDS for the specific material you are looking to dispose of. The disposal of excess product or old product should be in accordance with local and state regulations.
  • Are your products tested or certified?
    Our products are tested using state-of-the-art instrumentation, employing modern analytical methodologies. We can also offer product certifications such as kosher and organic certifications (through our parent company Global Essence Inc. as applicable). Extensive QC testing and thorough review of documentation are managed exclusively by our internal QA & Regulatory Departments. We have full analytical capabilities available in-house, including Gas Chromatography (Using polar, non-polar and Chiral columns), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, Density Meters, Colorimeters, Refractometers, and Polarimeters. Each product is subjected to physical testing, GC & GCMS analysis (where applicable), and panel tested based on the aromatic profile and appearance of the material.
  • Do you offer wholesale volumes?
    Absolutely! We offer full 55 gallon drum volumes for most products. Please contact info@escentialgroup.com with details to be provided with a quote and a lead time.
  • Do you offer certified organic products?
    Yes, all our certified organic products are fulfilled and shipped by our parent company, Global Essence Inc. Copies of Global Essence’s certificate & summary listing can be provided upon request as needed.
  • Do you offer customized flavors and fragrances?
    Yes, expected project size must first be confirmed, however we can assist in developing specific flavors or fragrances that are unique to your specific requirements! Please contact info@escentialgroup.com and you’ll be connected to a sales rep to discuss further!
  • Do you offer a particular material that is not listed on the website?
    The answer is likely yes! With thousands of materials & qualities available through our parent company, Global Essence, along with our decades of experience in supply chain management and strategic sourcing, we will do our best to locate and source specific materials and/or ingredients that have the quality parameters you need! Feel free to contact us to inquire.
  • Does the eScential Group ship internationally?
    Yes we do! Please confirm with your local legislation on the acceptance of our flavor, fragrance and essential oil products. The eScential Group will not be held responsible for any shipments that are held up or seized by your customs agency.
  • What’s your return policy? What if I don’t like how something tastes or smells?
    Flavor and fragrance profiles are subject to each individual customer’s preference. We highly recommend placing orders for half-ounce samples to test prior to ordering larger volumes of product. We will not accept returns for our products. If there is something wrong with your packaging upon delivery, you must urgently email info@escentialgroup.com with order and complaint details for us to investigate. We will not investigate anything regarding shipping issues after 7 days from receipt of shipment.
